Brittani goettsch

Brittani is a well rounded softball instructor, with the ability to coach all aspects of the game. She started her playing Career in 1994 with the Mississauga Tigers. She moved to Barrie in 1998 where she played for the BDGSA before continuing to played for numerous teams throughout Ontario and in the Premier League.
In 2008 she was offered multiple scholarships from both NCAA and NJCAA schools, eventually landing at Aiken Technical College in South Carolina NJCAA D1. From there she transferred to Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee, NCAA DII. While there she obtained a dual scholarship for both Softball and Dance. It was during these years at LMU that she started coaching with her school, that then sparked her career path of coaching the sport at a more professional level. After completing her Bachelor Degree in Kinesiology she started coaching youth softball and baseball players.

  • 2012 she became the head coach at the Canadian Baseball Academy

  • 2013 Became Strength and Conditioning/ Assistant Coach for the Barrie Storm U15 that won multiple medals.

  • 2014-2020 Started coaching private softball and baseball lessons for Smith Brother's Baseball Central, as well as being the facilities administrator.

  • 2019 Became the Head Coach for the 11U Central Ontario Reds in the Fergie Jenkins League

  • 2020- 2026 Started Coaching Private Lessons at the Kage and became full time Manager where she organized a ran large events like "Softball Day at The Kage"

  • 2024-2025 Season - Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the U15 SR Barrie Storm Team

  • 2025 Became a Certified CAN -PITCH instructor

  • 2026 Brittani is now the head coach and Director of Operations of Between the Lines.

Mike Goettsch

From competing at an elite level in baseball—including an invite to a Milwaukee Brewers tryout, multiple OBA championships, and earning MVP honors at the Ontario Championships during his 18U season—Coach Mike has built a strong foundation in the game. His experience and competitive mindset continue to shape his approach, both on and off the field. Today, he stays active in the game competing in Men’s A Slo-Pitch, bringing that same passion and knowledge to every athlete he works with.

Marcus brings a dynamic and well-rounded approach to player development, with a strong foundation in hitting, infield/outfield defense, and athletic performance. His commitment to developing the complete athlete sets him apart, as he is not only a dedicated coach but also a certified nutritionist and strength and conditioning specialist.

A native of Canada, Marcus grew up immersed in a variety of sports, but baseball always remained his passion. His talent and determination earned him a college baseball scholarship in Iowa, where he played at the junior college level for a year and a half. Despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, which cut his collegiate playing career short, Marcus's love for the game never wavered. He returned home and transitioned into coaching, bringing with him valuable firsthand experience and insight into the demands of high-level competition. Marcus is still young but continues to add to his resume contributing to multiple programs thus far into his coaching career, including

Baseball Coach

Marcus Pronay

Coach Chris specializes in Pitching with an emphasis on arm care and pitch design. Through his years of experience as a coach and playing NJCAA baseball Coach Chris is extremely familiar with what it takes to play at the next level and how to train like a college athlete. 

Collegiately, Coach Chris attended SUNY Jefferson in upstate New York where he served as the Closer and helped his team to a Final Four appearance in his Sophmore year.  After SUNY Jefferson, Coach Chris chose to come back to Canada and attended the University of Toronto where he studied philosophy and political science. In 2017 Coach Chris was a member of the UofT OUA championship team as a veteran presence in high leverage situations.

Coach Chris’ background in Philosophy has been invaluable in helping finding different approaches for different players. In turn helping a player throughly understand concepts faster and improving quicker.

Coach Chris has experience using Rapsodo and HitTrax software to help analyze both pitching and hitting metrics to aid all levels of player.
